The impact of COVID 19 is affecting work, childcare and family life. And to make it a little more stressful, you’re at home self-isolating with your family.
With all the updates, homecare and self-isolation requirements, it’s easy to feel unprepared especially with our kids. Earlier this month, we wrote a post about creating your work-life balance, so we wanted to share some helpful and fun ideas to keep your children busy while self-isolating.
Keeping up with the energy levels of bored kids can be difficult, especially if you’re trying to work and parent during self-isolation, so the very first thing we recommend is to relax the house rules a bit and activate the school holiday rules.
Screen time: movies, television, and video games
We’ve just been trained to limit screen time and get the kids outside! But this is not practical right now, so increasing screen time may save your sanity. You can still limit iPad and mobile screen time – turn your lounge room into a cinema with movie snacks or encourage multi-player video games to include the whole family.
